Air Canada partners with Amadeus to distribute its full content and advance its merchandising vision worldwide

Distribution success could be described as two sides of the same coin. Travel sellers need access to a full range of airline content to best serve travelers, while airlines want to optimally display and merchandise their unique offerings and value in the marketplace.

Amadeus continues its mission to help deliver distribution success, as evidenced by a new multi-year distribution agreement with Air Canada, Canada’s largest full-service airline and the largest provider of scheduled passenger services.

Under the new agreement, Amadeus travel agency customers worldwide, both offline and online, will have access to all of Air Canada’s fares and seat availability. Amadeus subscribers will be able to book the carrier’s full range of content and best fares, including those available through the carrier’s internal reservations system and its consumer and third-party websites. Air Canada will take advantage of Amadeus Fare Families and Amadeus Ancillary Services solutions, providing travel agency customers with access to the airline’s complete range of merchandising content.

Amadeus technology will help ensure that Air Canada’s products and services reflect the uniqueness of its brand while guaranteeing efficient processes for travel agents and the traveler’s need for transparency, comparability, and choice.

The companies will also work together to leverage existing features of the Amadeus point-of-sale retailing platform, as well as new features under development, to offer Amadeus subscribers access to rich content related to Air Canada fare products.
