The Palm Mason team, including the many supporters made their way to Upton Park on Friday the 20th to raise money for Macmillan & The Alzheimer's Society. With the stadium set to be demolished at the end of the year, the opportunity to play on the hallow ground where so many greats have played was simply a once in a life time opportunity for many out on the field. But let’s not take anything away from the players, the fans were not expecting much, but they put on a brilliant show. There were some outstanding goals, sublime individual skill and a great atmosphere throughout. Big smiles all round from everyone at the game!
There have been calls already for more games like this, so keep an eye out on our social media platforms, Facebook & Twitter, for more updates!
We managed to raise nearly £5,000 which is a great achievement and will go a long way to help those less fortunate and those in need.
