Community Manager - Communications, Platform-As-A-Service, Social Media, Application & Web Platforms, Java, PaaS, Open Source

I am working very closely with one of the largest City based Investment Banks in London. We are looking for a Community Manager to join the Platform As A Service (PaaS) team, which is a new function being created to engineer the Everything As A Service (EaaS) program. The team will be part of application and web platforms, a function responsible for our strategic server platforms for application hosting workloads including Java, JEE, Web, Content Management System, Messaging, Business Intelligence (BI), Logging, Storage and other use cases under the auspices of EaaS.

Key responsibilities:

As a Community Manager you will develop communities based around EaaS products, that will increase the adoption and understanding of these products within the Bank and our technical partners and stakeholders
As a Community Manager you will create, manage and maintain social media project sites using the Bank’s social media platform
Working with the Application and Web Platforms (A&WP) engineering teams, to develop coherent user and customer documentation from technical specifications for all EaaS PaaS products
Working with platform customers to pilot PaaS technologies, before productising the deliverables
Creating a strategy for developing EaaS PaaS communities, that aligns with our goal to host almost 100% of applications internally in the Bank
Organising communications, formal and informal events such as brown bag sessions, town hall communication, demonstrations and vendor sponsored gatherings
Developing an understanding of EaaS PaaS products from a users perspective and evangelise our products and services

You will have:

Exposure to Cloud technologies as a user
A passion for Information Technology and working with users, engaging their enthusiasm
Excellent language skills, written and oral
Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of different communication channels
Strong Networking instincts, desire to help people understand and adopt new technologies
