I am working very closely with one of the largest City based Investment Banks in London. We are looking for a Technology Business Manager to join a growing Chief Technology Office, where you will interact directly with technology & business management professionals, with the scope to learn about the financial aspects of all technology disciplines within the Bank.

Key responsibilities:

• Analysing financials and managing the costs of technology services
• Planning and delivering the development of the Technology Business Management Office (TBMO)
• Identifying and delivering cost reduction and consumption optimisation, in collaboration with Information Technology (IT) Managers and the TBMO
• Identifying, planning and implementing enhancements to support the overall plans for the TBM
• Supporting the commercial financial management of technology services
• Interacting with all stakeholders in Global Technology (GT) Finance and Business Management (BM)
• Interacting with stakeholders in GT including; Service and Inventory Owners, Technology Managers

You will have:

• Strong experience in a technology environment
• Experience in Financial Management of Technology, product management of IT services or Technology Business Management within a global corporate environment
• Experience managing senior stakeholders
• A strong understanding of how IT services impact the goals of the Bank
• An understanding of accounting principles for example cost vs. revenue and capital vs. Expense through Profit and Loss (P&L), balance sheets and capitalisation
• Knowledge on how to build financial models both cost and pricing
• Advanced user knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office for Excel and PowerPoint
• A proven background in delivering against tight deadlines
• Excellent time management skills
• The ability to understand financial and commercial risks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A background in project or programme management would be beneficial including setting objectives and defining deliverables and timelines
• A recognised Apptio TBMA qualification (beneficial)
• Experience in using and deploying Apptio (beneficial)
